Yeah so. Just another boring day in the life of a dull fourteen year old. But hey, my weekend starts tonight considering there isn't school tomorrow, and the computer will have to do... (: Tonight I've decided to browse some homecoming dresses, because I'm really in need of one... haha.
Dillards.com
I love Dillards. Nuff said. Anyways, I'm also doing this with Macy's soon because I am actually in the search for a cute homecoming dress. Though I don't have $150 to spend, I can still find some cheaper dresses still looking great.... right?
1) Jessica McClintock Sequin Bustier Dress; Ohkay, I know like two seconds ago I just said how I don't have $150 to spend on a dress, but if I did, this would be my first choice. I love the skirt and the sequin detail and it's a lot to handle knowing I can't ever wear this beautiful piece. :/
2) Hailey Logan Strapless Dress; Awh, it's navy and chiffon and like $109! Super cute.
3) Hailey Logan One-Shouldered Dress; Oh my darling, I just love this color and the crisscross pleating. $89.
4) Teeze Me Strapless Pickup Dress; THIS IS THE CUTEST THING! After looking at the whole dress section, I've decided that because of my lack of cash to get the sequin bustier (sob!) I'll go with this one, because ultimately, it is adorable and not bad for a second choice! $79 and it is soon to be mine!
5) Jodi Kristopher Pickup Dress; Well isn't this just adorable! The skirt is to die for and the lacework is simply stunning. Too bad I'm trying to stay away from black colors in dresses this year. :/
Tell me which one you like the most? I'm thinking about going with four... but who knows? Maybe when I'm shopping I'll find something entirely different. All pictures from Dillards.com and title is from All I Can Do by Jump5... haha.
Well, with about two-three hours on my hands, I've decided to post a little about my thoughts on a collection of fashion for fall 2010. This time around, I'll blog about McQueen. ♥ & Afterward I'll go to Julie's and nerd out watching reruns of glee. ♥
Alexander McQueen
{RIP- February 10, 2010}
This is my favorite of the entire collection; a cloak-like outerwear piece. It is very elegant and Victorian-styled with modern touches like a belt and collar. The fabric is perfectly detailed and elaborate, while the colors just blend together so nicely- my mouth keeps watering.
The tops, gloves, and shoes above were just a few of my likings found in this collection; though the whole collection was appealing, a few of the outfits were a bit different than the style I feel McQueen was trying to portray. Below are about nine of the sixteen outfits he had been working on around the time of his death, and I did find over half of his work this time around flattering.
He really did an excellent job this time around. Even on a sad note, it was a great final collection for him to work on.
